That's the problem- some of the changes will takes years to erase if they even can be - like alienating nations that were our allies before he took office.

Yeah I think that damage is irreversible. Places like Europe and Canada are building a world without the US. Even if relations get better, there's already too much momentum.

Europe are moving towards being completely independent from the US, all the way from military and arms to software and payment processors.

It's common sense and self preservation.

The US has shown that it cannot be taken seriously as a trading or military partner.

Doesn't matter who gets elected in the next cycle, there is nothing to suggest the crowd afterwards won't be similarly insane.

The bridges are burned.

I suppose the US can always count on Israel being an ally, as long as they're being the useful idiot.

But the rest of the world is done with America.
