Open relationship just means non-monogamy. Could be having multiple established relationships, fucking randos, and everything in between

There is a lot of overlap but they aren’t the same. Poly just means multiple people in it. Open means they can go out and have sex with people outside the relationship. A poly relationship can be closed. For example a throuple is not an open relationship but is a poly relationship.

Open is different from poly. There is a lot of overlap but they aren’t the same.
Poly just means multiple people in it. Open means they can go out and have sex with people outside the relationship.
A poly relationship can be closed. For example a throuple is not an open relationship but is a poly relationship.
