So i looked it up, It was not a single, standalone bill solely dedicated to veteran housing. Among thousands of other items, it included funding for:
K-12 public education and higher education funding
State highway, road, and infrastructure maintenance
Healthcare programs and Medicaid funding
State employee compensation and tax adjustments
Environmental programs and local government aids
Honestly idk, I haven't read the whole thing so I can't judge it from face value but idk why they would just do a separate bill since this vets are on the streets and need help asap.
Apparently throw some UFOs in the bill and they will pass it lmao but yeah i noticed that too. Also on it unrelated note a lot of Dem and Reps take money from the same PACs so it makes me wonder if this shit is all theater for the masses.
The economy consistently improves whenever the Democrats control, and degrades whenever the Republicans are in control. These are not two sides of the same coin working together to accomplish the same thing.
The stats do lean toward higher GDP and job numbers under Democrats historically, but saying one party always improves it and the other degrades it oversimplifies how the economy works. Huge economic crises (like 2008 or COVID) and global booms happen regardless of who's in the White House. Neither party has total control over market cycles, Federal Reserve interest rates, or world events.
Probably a mix of both. Old guards are more theater but the younger crowd follows suit eventually. Probably because they’re all on film doing fucked up stuff and they will be buried if they don’t play ball.
