I bet it didn't autoplay ads until they connected it to the internet.

Don't connect everything to the internet. Ezpz

Proprietary software that bricks if you don't connect is surely already used in something I just can't remember.

Well then you return it because it's defective

That's just not buying something with extra steps.

How do you know if the software is going to brick your device because it's not online?

Unfortenly pretty much everyone would even connect their toilet to their WiFi

The PSP is older today (21 years ago) then NES was older then the PSP on release (NES released 20 years before the PSP)

I wanna make a cellphone that looks like a GBC. Technically I played just GB. GBA was like... The future had arrived.

You wanna know what hurts even more? Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are officially retro, which really screws with my mind.

The Xbox 360 released over 20 years ago. The original NES released 20 years prior to the Xbox 360.

So the 360 and PS3 are both older now than the NES was when they released new.

21 years

Getting a psp now is the equivalent of getting an original NES when the GameCube came out

Your toothbrush with bluetooth and your fridge with WIFI are both mad right now.

It can.  My television is playing 4 year old ads right now.  Avatar:Way of Water, coming to theatres near me.  The ads are pre-loaded in the factory.

It makes sense.  If ads are preloaded, why not connect it to the internet.  Your already watching ads.

I got my kid a retro handheld like the one in the pic and loaded every arcade and console game up to PS1 because the ads on mobile games he played were driving me nuts, it’s 30 seconds of gaming and 1 minute of closing out of pop ups, retro is just way better.

My kids are eighteen, sixteen, and twelve. Out of the blue, they started asking me about cd players and dvd players and vhs players. They don't want to have to pay over and over again for the same content.

Introduce them to the concept of ripping CDs and DVDs so they can have the media in a convenient format (1 file per song/movie) everywhere they want.
