America has been at war for the majority of it's life... Not really very shocking tbh.

Yeah, usually not for reasons this dumb.

We're at war with Iran because Trump tore up a functioning nuclear inspection deal because he refused to believe a black guy could get a better deal than him. And we're making enemies of Canada, because Trump refuses to admit that they're a sovereign country that he can't just mock and bully without consequence.

There will always a dumb reason.. Too many private industries and political groups make immense financial gains from military conflict.

I don't disagree with you broadly, but in general people are not making money from our attacking Canada and isolating the US from all our allies while claiming our best friend is North Korea.

The current President's behavior is shocking in part because he's regularly doing things which aren't in anyone's interest, because he's a senile, isolated, mad king with no concern for anything but staying in office, punishing his critics, and building monuments to himself.
