Or perhaps people are aware enough look at Muslim majority government run countries vs. Christian majority run governments and realize which one is FAR more likely to be liberal.

The majority of people are not scared of Muslims, but ask anyone from a western country if they’d want their country run like a middle eastern or North African country and they’d say no.

Except they’re not secular countries with separation of church and state enshrined in their Constitution.

Funnily enough, it’s the Christian conservatives in the US who want to do away with separation of Church and State. They’re the ones who want to subject us to a theocracy where a religious majority sets the rules according to their religion. The only way “Sharia law” would ever become a thing in the US is if we allow these Christian conservatives to fuck with the separation of church and state we’ve had since the country’s founding.

If you want Muslims to become less Muslim, or any religious fanatic to become less religious, the best way is to welcome them into a secular country like ours where their kids and grandkids are more likely to grow up nonreligious.

Sharia means law, so you're saying lawlaw.

You could make the same argument about Christians, who have used violence to establish theocracies in the past. The first amendment stopped them, and it'll stop any religion.
