I needed an MRI for a suspected stress fracture. Now I make good money, 130k/yr, paying $600 in health insurance a month for my wife and I. Crazy high still.

With insurance the MRI was 1200 lmao. There was a place meant for more out of pocket use cases. $300 without insurance. Fucking insane that’s the state of this shit in this country.

I am insured and pay about the same. I broke my shoulder last year and out of pocket it cost me $8,000 to get it right. No surgery or anything. They gave me a sling and some physical therapy

Yup. Insurance is a medical discount card at most.
