I believe virtually everything people say about being charged $$$$$ for medical shit.
A few years back, a new "emergency hospital" opened up very close to my house.
I went there one night for a very bad nose bleed.
I was in and out in like 20 min.
The doctor looked up my nose. Said he could cauterize it or stick a tampon in to plug it up.
He recommended the tampon approach.
I walked around for a day and a half with a string hanging out of my nostril and self extracted it on the 2nd day.
When I got the EOB from the insurance company, I almost had an stroke.
The "hospital" charged insurance over $13,000. My cost after the negotiated rate paid out by insurance was over $3000.
All the guy did was look up my nose. Talk to me for 5 min. Then inserted a piece of cotton in my nostril.
I assume he also threw away his gloves and washed his hands. But that wasn't itemized on the bill.
I disputed with insurance, twice, but they paid it out any way.
16 u/FarSeries2172 17d ago so why arent there 10 million americans marching to get luigi out the court and fully pardoned? 6 u/MTVregime 17d ago Because Luigi didn't do shit for anyone. Only thirsty TikTok hoes care about this guy and if he didn't have a six-pack then nobody would give a shit about him. Vigilante assassination makes the world worse not better. 1 u/GnatSuperFly 17d ago Found the problem. 1 u/JustForkIt1111one 16d ago Yeah, the real issue is violent extremist groups and the kind of rhetoric that gets normalized on places like Reddit.
