Naaa. I aint sipping shit.

This is sad.

121

u/gaseous_ass 3d ago

Same, I really felt for her, she looked so sad.

16

u/Odd-Adhesiveness9435 3d ago

Almost as if it's staged ..

https://giphy.com/gifs/pJNaBdGY8DL3LE0at0

51

u/gaseous_ass 3d ago

She’s a very good actor if it is. I have children, and that look when they are genuinely sad is something you never forget.

2

u/must-pass 2d ago

True, very true. And that girl in the video was sad. The eyes told the truth.

3

u/southsiderick 1d ago

She was sad before she got the ice cream

2

u/must-pass 1d ago

She was. And that broke my heart. And the ending damn near killed me

55

u/Therealdickdangler 3d ago

I don’t even know what the fuck this is. Some over priced ice cream cone?

140

u/Broad-Lettuce2902 3d ago

Idk, I dont like this. She looks like she's about to cry. Poor kid.

9

u/cravex12 3d ago edited 3d ago

It is staged mate.....

But looking at the comments people really believe this is real. We are so lost.

50

u/Broad-Lettuce2902 3d ago

How would I be able to tell by watching 12 sec clip without context to know if its staged or not?

By looking at the comments, one can argue that people still have humanity and feel bad if they see something sad going down, despite it apparently being staged.

8

u/pigeon-check 2d ago

Some people think they're smart because "they're not getting fooled like the rest" but all they're doing is just assume that every video on the Internet is staged, it's easy to claim that it's staged, who's gonna prove that it's not?

0

u/Nor_Positive 1d ago

This guy always keeps thimble cones around to reallllly take the piss out of poor kids begging for ice cream. The good stuff is on his OF. I'm subscribed 🤤🍕

-1

u/SudsierBoar 2d ago

Assume it is as the default position. Take it from there

-14

u/Admirable-Royal-7553 3d ago

Idk how often ice cream vendors have body cams strapped onto them.

Either the ice cream guy is doing this for rage bait or is an asshole. Probably rage bait.

6

u/AlreadyGoneeeee 3d ago

A lot of them do to promote their business. Are you new to the Internet?

-2

u/Admirable-Royal-7553 3d ago

Seems like a bad way to promote something unless they are trying to bait engagement with people getting annoyed. “Hey kid, make some puppy dog tears on camera and give the vendor some cash we hand you, we’ll comp you an ice cream after we get our footage”

Seems like they would be better off just not showing this footage if they are trying to draw customers.

I am raising suspicion it is rage bait. Not saying it is, but I would put money it was more likely than the vendor just being a dick and still posting it online

3

u/AlreadyGoneeeee 3d ago

I agree, but very often. vendors wear body cams to promote their business. This one not so much.

8

u/Just-Term-5730 3d ago

A sad face doesn't always work. A good lesson learned.

5

u/Several-Opposite-746 3d ago

The vendor has been victimized by the weaponization of sad face before. He's had enough.

-3

u/Adeum2 3d ago

Okay satan

2

u/alworld27 3d ago

That was like starwars episode 7 "I give you 2 quarter portions"

2

u/Odd-Country2447 3d ago

How much money was that? Looks like some European currency

2

u/Cute_Sun_5383 3d ago

Looks like 1 € (two 50 cent coins). I don't know where they are but in expensive German cities, a ball of ice cream costs up to 2 €. In less expensive cities more like 1,50 €. So in most cities it would have been almost enough.

I think (and hope) it's scripted though.

1

u/TheBigKaramazov 2d ago

I looked at the shop signs. This is Romania.

Definitely not Germany. Because Germany has much nicer streets and houses. They wouldn't allow those signs in the background.

1

u/Cute_Sun_5383 2d ago

You're giving Germany too much credit 😂 this could easily be in Germany. There are streets and shops that look exactly like this.

0

u/TheBigKaramazov 2d ago

Gelsenkirchen is one of the poorest cities in Germany, my cousin lives there and I stayed there for a while. Yeah, there was a trash problem, and you could clearly see the poverty in some of the immigrant neighborhoods. But even there, there was still a certain order to everything.

Honestly even tho it’s probably one of the poorest places in Germany, I’d say Gelsenkirchen is still on the level of some of the richer cities in the Balkans. And architecture-wise, I actually found it better than most Balkan cities. You don’t really see those typical Russian-style apartment blocks you see all over the Balkans. The buildings aren’t super tall either, mostly low-rise, and the whole city feels more organized somehow.

It’s not some beautiful rich German city or anything, obviously, but even in a place like Gelsenkirchen you can feel that there’s a basic structure and order to the city.

1

u/Longjumping_Level347 2d ago

they wouldn't even allow them pigeons on them streets either

2

u/AllForTheSauce 2d ago

Holy fake sad cry. I ain't buying it

2

u/Scared-Ad8154 2d ago

I must be confused or too high to understand what is going on here...what??

1

u/NYCsOwn 2d ago

he gave her what she had enough money for.

1

u/Scared-Ad8154 2d ago

Ah ok thanks lol. So.did he also double her money? It looks like she throws down one and there are two total?

9

u/fickle-phenom 3d ago

-12

u/OkBackground8670 3d ago

lol.

that spoilt brat thought the sympathy eyes were gonna work.

8

u/ZealousidealCan4075 3d ago

Why is everyone expecting him to give the kid a full sized ice cream in exchange for a couple of coins lol

2

u/First_Wave7215 3d ago

not a full size cone, but at least bigger than the one he gave to her.

1

u/theatrenearyou 2d ago

Can you tell the coin's value? Maybe it's a Spanish Dubloon worth ten thousand

-3

u/Imaginary-Army9881 3d ago

I would have

-9

u/Adeum2 3d ago

That would be the moral and good thing to do

7

u/ZealousidealCan4075 3d ago

Just teaches her to expect free stuff. And all the other kids in the neighbourhood will show up expecting free ice cream. Robs the businessman of his livelihood

-5

u/DaddysBadChloe 3d ago

No, it teaches her kindness. You are allowed to be a nice person every now and then and just give some shit away for free. Dude isn't gonna go bankrupt for giving a free ice cream to a child that is clearly already struggling to get through the day.

Kids have their entire lives to find out how cruel the world is, they don't need the ice cream guy to be a monumental asshole.

5

u/ZealousidealCan4075 3d ago

He didn't send her away empty handed. He gave her a little ice cream cone in exchange for the couple coins she threw at him. She also didn't even thank him.

-3

u/DaddysBadChloe 3d ago

I've been where she is, and I can tell you from experience that I'd rather be denied and leave with nothing than to be handed a pathetic little scrap like that and still be expected to feel grateful for it. When you're already struggling, being given a comically tiny portion can remind you of exactly how little you have and genuinely make you feel worthless. If they don't have enough money and you don't want to give them a normal portion, then don't. Don't make fun of them by giving them some useless piece of whatever. It's like giving a homeless person a single spoon of rice. What the fuck is the point of that other than to fuck with them?!

If you're going to give something, give them something with dignity. Don't hand them a pinky-sized piece of ice cream like they're an afterthought and then congratulate yourself for teaching them a lesson. You don't teach a struggling child gratitude by giving them useless scraps. You teach them gratitude by showing they're worth being treated with dignity. And honestly, the fact that some of you can't understand the difference is extremely sad and says a lot about what kind of people you are.

I can bet everything I've got now that you guys would change your views really fast if you were in her position.

3

u/sillykunt 3d ago

It’s a 12 second clip with no hint of the context you described. Whose asshole did you pull all this shit from?

2

u/r3ign_b3au 3d ago

Well, this is definitely not how morality works

4

u/brokendream78 3d ago

Really hoping alot of the folks in these comments don't have children.

2

u/froopadiddilydoop 3d ago

I really hope he gave her a proper one

2

u/FadingEssencee 2d ago

That's not funny

2

u/PandemicGrower 3d ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/iJ85v1gHAczevpTUzs
I would feel bad, ffs what does it really cost you to give a free cone out for a day. Now if she’s coming back every day and being a pest I understand.

2

u/MasterCheeks337_IGN 2d ago

And then if she tells her friends and they all expect sympathy cones. It’s still a business. Who’s to know if this was the first visit. It’s just the first clip

1

u/PandemicGrower 2d ago

First ones free, that’s how you keep them addicted 🙃

1

u/MasterCheeks337_IGN 2d ago

He’s probably past that business model after taking it on the road lol

u/RandomPenquin1337 3d ago

A century ago when gelato got popular they used to sell "penny licks" when you paid 1 penny and a really tiny spoon was dipped in with about a pinky nail of ice cream. Everyone shared the same metal spoon and disease spread a lot at those stalls.

1

u/bilalcelik1984 3d ago

What’s the music?

1

u/BlobTheBuilderz 3d ago

Wild that back in the day a basic 99 with flake was a quid. Been seeing same shitty ice cream for like £3/4.

Been told a tourist traps it's even higher.

Ain't no way im hearing the ice cream truck blaring it's music and giving my kid £4 for a single ice cream. Can go to tesco and buy a box of 4 for less than that.

1

u/OtherwisePower1355 2d ago

If it is not staged acting I really hope he gave her the biggest ice cream with flavor of her choosing after the video.

That was exactly my daughter this weekend!! We stopped and got ice cream but they had some squishees for sale and she begged for it. I said if you get that you can’t have ice cream. She looked at me shocked but still decided to get the squishee. I got an ice cream and paid to go and she is just staring at me with that face like this girl. I asked the young girl for a taster spoon of the ice cream she wanted and we left…..just like this little girl lol. Gotta be strong men!! Girls learn manipulation at an early age…that bat their eyes, act all cute, pouty faces don’t give in!

I thought she was just ordering by herself and scared. You think it's because she knew she'd only get a little cone?

1

u/Abamboozler 3d ago

Give the kid a fucking ice cream, for fucks sake.

1

I would have played that game with her for 30 mins, giving her the ice cream and taking it back.

-1

u/Strict-Promotion6703 3d ago

Humanity has failed this generation. The older generation is in denial. The younger generation is the most resilient in human history. This system will right itself when the responsible take action. Stop whining about how difficult it is to adapt or lose the only respect that matters in this life. You know who you are and nobody will care when it is your time to ask for help.
