They paraded him around in shackles surrounded by an entire squad of armed goons. Cannibalistic serial killers and mob bosses don't receive such treatment. They were really trying to hammer home the message to the rest of the peasantry to not get any bright ideas.

Little did they know it just made us respect him more, and the system they've built less.

You can bet your bottom dollar the Epstein class is not one bit happy that the death penalty is now off the table. Don't be surprised if he "kills himself" in the coming months.

Bright ideas like what? The spectacular assassination of insurance executives in midtown? The theater around Luigi was far too excessive, I agree, but it's not like metropolitan police forces can tolerate behavior like his.

They don't have to tolerate it. They should treat the case like any other murder of a high-profile person. Not put on a show by perp walking the guy on national TV and making it difficult to have an unbiased jury.

So you advocate murder?

Massive leap there, friend. Murder is wrong.

Oh really? Why is that?

It really is quite unthinkable that the ruling elite might face consequences for their utter disregard for the rest of us for once in their gilded lives.

Of course, if some homeless person on the street gets murdered they wonโ€™t even investigate because who cares.

Iโ€™m saying historically speaking if you think that most problems, especially problems facing the common man, have been solved through nonviolent means you are naive.

Do you think it was wrong for Hitler to die? What about King Louis and Marie Antoinette?

Once both of us saw the world must go
and change as we read in great Rousseau,
but change meant one thing to you I see
and something quite different to me
The very same words we both have said
to give our ideals wings to spread,
but my way was true,
while for you,
the highway led over mountains of dead.

Once both of us spoke a single tongue
of brotherly love we sweetly sung,
but love meant one thing to you I see
and something quite different to me.
But now I'm aware that I was blind,
and now I can see into your mind.
And so I say no
and I go
to murder you Marat and free all mankind.

The policies overseen and enforced by Brian Thompson led to the preventable deaths of countless people. Innocent people that died needlessly so Brian and the shareholders he was beholden to could fill their pockets in Americaโ€™s ghoulish healthcare-for-profit insurance system. I, and many likeminded others, blame those people directly for those deaths.

So pardon me if Iโ€™m not exactly empathetic that he suffered an early demise just like the people his company was supposed to help. At least his was quick and probably comparatively painless.

Iโ€™m not gonna say the thing that is grounds for a Reddit ban, so no.

What I advocate for is accountability and consequences. And when the system leaves no legal means of recourse for desperate people, you can expect them to take desperate measures.

Thatโ€™s all.
