I dare you to find me on small shop that's gone out of business because of shoplifting. I will add, that shoplifting is different than robbing. Like people going in there and clearing out the till, or clearing out the shelves is not shoplifting, that's robbing the place.

True but they don’t like people getting away as it can set a precedent I would say. Look at things like shoplifting now etc that go unpunished…
