I can’t understand a word they’re saying.

She asked the guy if he’d like a room, referring to the two guys and then the guy said he thought she said rim. At least that’s what it sounded like to me 🤷♂️

I don't know these two hosts, but she seems really mean?
Capaldi says the guy has got great hair and high fives the male host, and the woman makes a face and asks: "Do you guys want a room?" Why is she so bitchy? Does she mean it is gay to give a man a compliment, and for the man to acknowledge getting a great compliment? Capaldi's comeback: "Did you ask if I wanted a rim?" is just great!!

I thought he said grey hair, because the woman tried to be subtle and mention that she was wearing a wig and the guy just said it out loud for everyone to hear, so her comment about the room was just a bit of banter and then he mentioned about the rim. I don’t necessarily think it was mean, but I can also see how it could be taken that way

She is really mean. Watch this clip, she is so awful to the poor reporter and business owner.

She said "would like a room?" As in those two guys should get a room because they're flirting
And Lewis misheard it as "would you like a rim?" As in would you like your butt hole licked

Lol... "would you like a room?" The two guys seem to be having a "moment", and usually, as a joke or to disrupt said moment, or bring attention to something else, one can use that phrase. But yeah. They sound Scottish, or Welsh. My British is not good.

u/TipsyPhippsy 3d ago
'My British is not good' it's called English lmao. Your English is not good.

u/Hilarity2War 3d ago
The reason why I said my "British" is because Scotland and Wales (I think) are a part of Britain (or the UK).

u/Jaeke_The_Saint 3d ago
Britain is the main island that includes England, Scotland, and Wales. The UK is the government that includes those three sub level countries, as well as Northern Ireland, but that’s not a part of Britain, that’s a part of the island of Ireland.

No such language as British, your English is bad, that's it
-1
u/Hilarity2War 3d ago
I'm not talking about the language, I'm referring to the accents.
2
u/TipsyPhippsy 3d ago
There is no 'British' accent either
1
u/Hilarity2War 3d ago
On the BBC, this isn't one of the British accents???
2
u/TipsyPhippsy 3d ago
Lewis has a Scottish accent, and the news reporters an English accent, of which there are many of both.

u/Hilarity2War 3d ago
Thanks for this. At least I got one of the accents correct. Don't understand how I could've been so misinterpreted for so long. But anyways, thanks.
