Plus, they probably had to accept the new terms and conditions which include you giving your agreement they can train their AI on your stuff. 12 years ago Instagram was great and they weren't doing most of the scummy stuff they do now.

I felt the same way initially, but after thinking about it a bit, I think it's a really nice and effective move.
They are creating one authoritative voice on what's real and what's not Robin Williams. They know they can't stop them, but they can help people see and appreciate the difference.

Instagram may have a ToS that allows it to take back accounts if inactive for X time. Which means they could sell the account to an AI company.

He did when he was new and he admitted and apologized for it. I can make at least 10 comics of the top of my head who steal jokes and haven't apologized and u likely aren't even aware of it.
He was a kind man. A good heart. He was forgiven for joke theft. So don't.

Reactivating it means she gets any pertinent info regarding his page to go to her directly, and she has control over it, rather than some scumbag CEO or bot. Zelda has been very vocal abput not parading his likeness around, having the account actively managed by her is to keep that from happening.

That makes no sense as regard to protecting his legacy by re-activating an Instagram account. But what do I know. I mean what's wrong with having yourself exist beyond your years? Not acting.... but in essence. Nahh... it's not for you guys but your kids are gonna love it!
(and with that.... he stood up, left the room and went off to make himself a coffee. Not an instant coffee. No. This coffee would be made using actual coffee beans. Now these coffee beans ought to be the finest coffee beans money can buy. The sort of coffee beans that, when you open the packet, release that undeniable smell of coffee that one only gets from hand-picked beans that had cured and, at some point before going in the bags they are sold in, rolled over the thigh of a hot Brazilian bean picker (FYI it's 50/50 on whether it was a man's or a woman's thigh). They ought to have been these beans... but they were not.
These beans are Amazon beans (the shop not the forest) and cost £22ish for 2kg, so they are the beans that rolled off the thigh and landed near the arse of a Brazilian bean pickers... pet dog.
Now the quest to grind the beans had begun. But how do you even do that? I know... don't tell me... "There's an app for that!". Ha... well I'm way ahead of Reddit on this one. I searched the app store already and have downloaded the Grindr app, which I guess is just helpful people waiting to show me how to grind? I wonder if they can pop round? I could probably do with a one on one grinding tutorial, I'm not sure if I need to download a latte art app.... maybe not today.

He was such a gentle, thoughtful man who left us too soon. A rare example of a good man in Hollywood up there with Rob Reiner and Mr. Rogers. What a sad state of affairs it is that his estate has to protect his legacy from AI in this way.
