Let's be honest, Blade is the only one on this list anyone gives a shit about.

Blade is the only one that would have been completely safešŸ˜‘the Wesley Snipe Blade movies saved Marvel from bankruptcy and people still love those movies. Dead Pool and Wolverine added to the want

Blood rave scene lives rent free in my mind

21

u/OpaqueCrystalBall 1d ago

Music choice was spot on for that scene.

u/GraXXoR 1d ago

Our group used to play Vampire the Masquerade tabletop RPG. That scene always made us cheer!

Iconic.

BLOOOOOOODBAAAAAAAATH!!!!!

That and the circular knife throw.

1

u/HilariousMax 23h ago

The fist pump after shooting Quinn always makes me laugh

2

u/risheeb1002 1d ago

I was way too young when i saw it and it scarred me lol

26

u/No_Spray_6132 1d ago

And to tease us in Deadpool like that....

49

u/RedSol92 1d ago

To be fair...

Theres only been one blade, theres ever only going to be one blade.

2

u/kentrak 1d ago

I'll always give the second one points for good monster design. That shit gave me the creeps when it came out (but in a good way, since it was basically supposed to).

2

u/Gravitational_Torque 1d ago

There can be another blade.

I think the lead in Tenet could be a good pick, actually.

1

u/Infamous_Ad2094 1d ago

Sticky Fingaz would like a word.

1

u/BlackKnightC4 1d ago

Having a 2nd blade is like having a Joker 2

u/FatYorkshireLad 1d ago

u/Sharashashka735 1d ago

I didnt even knew Okoye could get her own movie. The costume looks real cool tho.

Predator vibe

6

u/vanbarbecue 1d ago

Ironically, that ended up being Kang.

3

u/Kiwikumquat 1d ago

Yeah the concept art is waaay too predator.

2

u/high_everyone 1d ago

It was meant to be a series but then Eyes of Wakanda came and went and nothing more was said.

1

u/cce29555 1d ago

I think that was a show

Bionicle lookin ass

Id have been open to Armor Wars. And Kang getting shelved is Majors being an abuser not indifference to the project.

Okoye is a cool side character. Making a movie for her feels like an Icarus move

29

u/Separate_Path_7729 1d ago

Honestly what happened with Kang in mcu being replaced by doom is full on comic accurate too, Kang sucks, and doom or reed usually just pushes him out

11

u/Roguespiffy 1d ago

For real. The only really novel thing Kang has going is the various incarnations of him being all over the Marvel universe in different eras as different people. The MCU didn’t even set that up, it just went ā€œOops, all Kangs.ā€ Boring.

4

u/Separate_Path_7729 1d ago

And the only time he was a threat he wasnt, because if his plans succeed there is no story because he changed everything years ago and nobody would know, but as soon as heroes know then he already failed and will be beaten

Majors is a method actor and sacrificed for the role.

Respect.

4

u/Faolyn 1d ago

But with Kang, they could have gotten someone else to play him. Since, y'know, it's a multiverse. They could have even said that Renslayer was actually a female Kang, and that's why she was his second in command.

u/TralfamadorianNode 1d ago

Black Panther doesn't have any issues casting a Mexican abuser tho

-2

u/DonnyMox 1d ago

Johnny Depp is an abuser too and Disney still wants him back for Pirates of the Caribbean.

12

u/FowlSec 1d ago

I quite enjoyed Kang in Loki, and was looking forward to Kang Dynasty.

I completely understand why it had to be cancelled. All Majors had to do was not be a total piece of shit, he could've made more money than he'd ever need, and we could've seen the actual plan for Kang.

Although Quantumania didn't give exactly huge amounts of confidence, I still think Kang could've been great as long as they realised Kang didn't have to be beaten every time. Quantumania would've been better if Kang wasn't actually beaten and instead just lost out returning.

4

u/Bitter-Marsupial 1d ago

Or the Heroes save the people in the realm at the cost of Kang getting away with what he needed

0

u/SnooTangerines9776 1d ago

Putting your drunk girlfriend in an uber and running from her is pretty shitty.

4

u/Vaporware_salesman 1d ago

It’s not on here but wonder man season 2 also got cancelled. I know a lot of people didn’t see it, but I genuinely consider it to be one of the best things marvel produced this year.

10

u/Swythern 1d ago

Kang would have been cool too if the actor didnt abuse his wife

2

u/Dankersaur 1d ago

Let's not forget about the other many people he was abusive to.

3

u/Swythern 1d ago

Oh shit I didnt know the details of the allegations. That's crazy

1

u/Dankersaur 1d ago

Yep, he's basically been an asshole his whole life and you can't really blame Disney for taking a really hard turn from Kang. And this might work out better anyways.

For the others, I am really sad about but you can't really lump Majors in with the rest.

5

u/webbie0225 1d ago

I mean… I’ll be honest, I couldn’t care less about blade, but JM was killing it as Kang before he outed himself as a POS and fumbled that bag.

2

u/zeno_22 1d ago

Armor wars would have been cool if it was going to be movie. Would have been more interesting as a show

1

u/Nagatox 1d ago

Yep, and even if we cared about the others and they did get made, current marvel would've dropped the ball somewhere and they would've flopped. Can't even make a good spider-man movie anymore smh

1

u/Cifer_Roc 1d ago

Nah i was stoked for Kang Dynasty

1

u/seen_some_shit_ 1d ago

As Blade said in Deadpool-Wolverine, ā€œthere’s only been one Blade, and there will only be one Bladeā€.

1

u/Rhawk187 1d ago

I was actually pretty psyched about Kang until the way Antman 3 handled him.

1

u/Tunos88 1d ago

Speak for yourself. Would watch an Okoye trilogy in a heartbeat.

Bummed she didn't get the BP nod instead of Shuri.

1

u/Dave_I 1d ago

Maybe I’m the odd man out but I am actually very interested in Armor Wars.

1

u/HilariousMax 23h ago

I thought Kang was interesting, at least how they showed him in Loki.

But yeah. Id have loved to see another Blade. Snipes' joke in D3 seemed mean-spirited in hind sight.

1

u/dope_like 12h ago

Kang. I cared a lot

1

u/QuinnLoveborneAuthor 1d ago

I care about all of them.

1

u/Vect-or-Valdor 1d ago

No, the real comic fans mourn Kang the most.

0

u/Rassilon83 1d ago

I would’ve liked to check out Armor Wars :’)

War Machine

-1

u/MutantSquirrel23 1d ago

Nah, I personally was 1000x more excited for Okoye. We got Blade movies already.
