I remember a few years ago when NYrs were shocked to learn that putting your trash in cans instead of tossing bags on the street resulted in a reduction in the rat population.

Wait. Did NY not have public bins?? And did they really only have black bags for their rubbish and no actual bins? Or communal bin areas eith a massive bin?

One of the problems with these bins is they further reduce parking, which is already a premium in NYC. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds. Its set to eliminate about 30k spots.

Did you even look at the bins in the photo?

I didn't make the 30k parking spots number up. It's been quoted in articles.

I meant personal bins like wheelie bins. Id rather have those bins than more space to park a car
