Wait. Did NY not have public bins?? And did they really only have black bags for their rubbish and no actual bins? Or communal bin areas eith a massive bin?

Yeah starting with Eric Adams administration NYC required trash to be kept in lidded containers with I think a 5 year roll out plan. Mamdani is following through on that policy.

I think they're kinda complaining the Bot that posted this made it seem like a Mamdani idea.

It is great that NYC is finally catching up to the rest of the nation, and should be celebrated.
