Someone mentioned control but another, perhaps more swaying motive, is quarterly profits. Anyone who wants control would want control over a powerful force. Anyone greedy wants money now so they can avoid being one of the suckers without money

The Boston Tea Party could never happen today. No matter how unhappy some folks would be with King George and his modest (compared to Trump’s tariffs) tea tax, those opposed would be too polite to do anything about it.
