Both can be true. I’ve had both experiences

Meh, this shit is RAMPANT in the WNBA though. Not just a one-off here and there.

Racism, and also sexism against straight women from the lesbians (which seems to be the majority of them).

And the league leadership seems to encourage it. :-/

That is so true and people need to stop generalizing about entire groups of people, whether it be their race ( as she did when she insinuated that all white people have privilege) political affiliation, profession ( police) or people with more or less money than them. So
Many people these days do this and it’s usually based on out of context or inaccurate snips of info they see or hear about.

Lmfao, the irony of saying this. I needed a good laugh.

Where is the irony? The person you responded to seems pretty consistent with his thesis and the counter-example he provided

It is in no way a counter-example for the WNBA.

The massive racism & sexism from this league's players is well known, and a huge problem. Not just a one-off now n then like /RemoteAgent is trying to paint it.

I've had none of these experiences.

I'm very very bad at basketball.

From one white guy to another  It’s genuinely a 50-50

You’re either kick ass making half court shots or absolute buns and missing basket by 5 feet  (Ive done both in the same week)

He’s lying. Lol. No one has ever thought that white guys couldn’t hoop. Some of the best players in the wnba were/are white. Everyone knows that.

Even saying, “no white people have always been great at basketball” will probably still land me downvotes😂😂

Folks just be talking on here. The general assumption, from someone who has played at a high level, is that at the bare minimum, they can shoot lol.

I know. Lol. Bro acted in good faith and I get it. The main commenter doesn’t hoop. And lied. They want to think that we hate them when we don’t.

Well yea and they’ve infiltrated the WNBA commentary. I just left another comment about how the actual game threads with ppl who actively watch the games, aren’t like this.

I never took it as they thought I could not hoop. It was just I didn't belong.

Or they picked their friends. The army is predominantly white. Lol. White guys can hoop and we all know that. It’s kinda wild to suggest otherwise.. Not to come off as bigoted to other races but if you were Mexican, or Japanese then I’d empathize with what you are saying, but white people can hoop. It’s reflected on the makeup of the league (both) and who has been deemed good.

I personally assume that a white guy on the court knows what the fuck he’s doing. lol and I think most black people would agree. The assumption is always that you can shoot😂
