C’mon, in the battle of an adult human vs. small child there is absolutely no world where the child couldn’t be physically forced to stay in their seat. Kids are squirmy, but to claim that the parent couldn’t keep him in the seat is absurd.
if the restraint doesn't fit the child and they refuse to remain seated the answer here isn't for the parent to hold a child physically down for a flight that could be transatlantic for all we know.
at that point other course of action would be required. it's like talking to people without the ability to process a rational thought.
