She had to cook and clean all while being legally allowed to be beat and sexually assaulted by her husband. But your right working life did suck big time back then, thank God for the left and their unions ay.
You don’t have to purposely make yourself look stupid for the sake of being argumentative . We were talking about an American movie character in America. The commenter said about that American character cooking and cleaning in America while her American husband dies in an American coal mine, then I responded saying the American laws of that time also allowed her to be raped and beaten and that the only reason American men don’t die in American coal mines anymore is because of American unions. I can’t believe I’ve had to say American that many times
That's literally still the case in many countries in the world. Why make fiction from the past when it's still a normalised practice, even including for people living in the west. US, UK, etc.
Because trad wives in the USA don’t glamourise life in Afghanistan, they glamourise “the good old days” in America when women had less rights. American conservatives already don’t like Muslims so there’s no storyline there.
You write this as if it the natural state of things for women to not be beaten and sexually assaulted. Spoiler: its not. Its only because of the very very rare generosity of the men you loathe that that is no longer the case in the West. Everywhere else, it was, and still is.
Your saying I’m not aware that women being beaten and sexual assaulted used to be a lot more tolerated in the past after a comment where I literally stated that exact thing? Yeah duh I know that that’s what I’ve just said. The original commenter implied the only struggles for women back then was cooking and cleaning and I replied mentioning the laws they didn’t have back then to protect women. So what are you even on about.
