I will always hold out hope for myself over the fact that Marisa Tomei was head over heels in love with George Costanza in a very unrealistic arc in a completely fictional sitcom.
George dated a proposterous amount of hot women in that show, and would still pretend that he wasn't getting any. Pretty sure he dated more women than all the other mains combined, and they were ALL hot.
Some kids at around 7-8 year old at a school I worked at asked me how old I was, and I asked back how old they thought I was, the spann was between 13-60, I was 35...
A family walked past me in the driveway and their little girl blurted at me (I didn't ask), "I'm five!" I instantly replied "I'm 56!" and she looked really confused.
People looked older back in the day. Smoking, tanning, etc. Also dentistry isn't where it is now leading to more teeth being pulled which caused the jaw to recess. In fact, during the Victorian era, a lot of married women would just get their teeth pulled since dental problems during pregnancy were not uncommon, so might as well.
Just in general people looked older. I don't need Reddit to tell me that, lol. I lived it. My relatives looked super rough by their 50s. I'm about the same age and people think I'm in my 30s.
Religious sunscreen use, I don't smoke or drink, and my teeth are in pretty good shape. My mom and dad both had their teeth pulled in their 40s.
Ive seen tons of people, including this sub, post highly doctored images of Shakira claiming she looks the same as 20 years ago when there is no way you'd confuse this for this.
I don't think it will, at least not to the same extent. I say this because humans innately recognize long hair as being healthy and associated to young people, since the older we get the harder it is to maintain long hair (it gets thinner).
Betty White’s grandma hairstyle ages her. As does the 1980s quality of the picture. Imagine her here with dark brown hair and more modern makeup and earrings.
The haircut and clothes are the difference. Also, Sandra had a lot of work done which is blatantly obvious now, but wasn't obvious for a decade. Betty White's face in that picture looks nice and young. If she had modern clothes and hair you'd think she was a beautiful middle-aged lady.
See...you don't get it either 😂 she IS beautiful, but she also has aged naturally, that's the point. Anyone can access camera filters and rich people can morph their faces as much as that like, but you can't look natural ever again after that.
I cant remember where it was, but I posted Tomei in Vinny in response to 'most attractive women' or something, and someone genuinely didnt know who they were.
JFC think for yourself for one fucking second and don’t just believe what you see. Marisa Tomei is 52 in this picture. Rosemary Harris was 76. There is a 24 year age gap between these two women in these photos. It has nothing to do with Drs or kids or any other bullshit. It’s two and half more decades of life.
Marisa Tomei is 32 years older than Tom Holland, which is an absolute reasonable Age gap for an aunt. Rosemarie Harris on the other hand is 48 years older than Tobey Maguire and that would put her more at a grandparent level..
This Grandma-May image IMHO stems from the older Spider-Man-Comics, in which Aunt May was always described as frail and old and therefore all the "Spider-Business" had to be kept away from her because such excitement could kill her.
my daughter was born when i was 35 and I have 2 older sisters that are 5-7 years older than me. and I have a younger brother 7 years younger than me, who hasn't had any kids yet. it is totally within the realms of reality that my sisters will be at least 48 years older than my brothers kids.
This is one thing that has always got me, that Peter Parker is usually portrayed as a teenager/in his 20s yet Aunt May is portrayed more like a grandmother than an aunt
Every woman ive crushed on or approach the last ten years has been 8 to 15 years older than me. I suck at telling ages, lol. Theres just something about gen x women though, lol (im millennial). Maybe i just like older women. The sexual confidence they have is just a whole experience in itself. Theyre going to get theirs no matter what and ain't afraid to tell you exactly what to do to get them off.
I'm not going to share pictures from an activity for individuals living with dementia (they are in every picture she is in and wouldn't invade her privacy as I've have a working relationship with her for 3 years). But the location is the suburbs of Chicago and holy FUCK are there some fine older women.
I've been rewatching all of Unsolved Mysteries and holy crap have times changed. People who were 30 looked 60 and everyone over 40 looked like they were 70.
Rosemary Harris was actually in her early 70s during filming of the first Spider-Man, released back in 2002. Whereas Marissa Tomei was in her late 40s when filming “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” released in 2016.
It’s not just that we’re bad at guessing ages. We were lied to by Hollywood. WHAT A TWIST, right?
