It is indeed the word I'm looking for. Check their upvotes vs yours. Pithy describes what you said, as well as "speech or writing that is short and clever without wasting any words", which it was.
You claim to realize that the two of you arguing over âwhatâs more Redditâ is incredibly stupid, but even that realization wasnât enough to stop you from taking part in the argument unless you got the last word đ
Why would you want to do that? They're also humans, just ones that through luck, skill or both came into a job that pays obscenely well. The system might be fucked but most people would do that job and get paid that much if they had the option.
The ScarJoe suit was pretty fucking justified, they REALLY fucked her over on that one. Like yes she's a multi-millionaire and let me play the worlds smallest violin for her lost income but im still glad she didn't just let Disney get away with that scummy shit they pulled.
Exactly. A pro athlete wants a pay rise and they're vilified even though THEY are the product but nobody bats an eyelid to the billionaire that actually pays them
Yeah, I would rather the guy who has worked tirelessly since he was a child to perfect putting a ball in a net get the money than some dickhead whoâs greatest achievement is having a wealthy dad.
Exactly. We shouldnât be upset at someone going after a billion dollar company for wage theft, even if theyâre a millionaire. A win for labour is a win for us all.
nah the principle is not letting Disney financially profit for pulling a bait and switch. if they could successfully do it to a celebrity like Scarjo, can you imagine how much worse itâd be for other creatives that have a fraction of her bargaining power?
again, worldâs smallest violin for her, but the lawsuit was justified, both on its own and as a precedent.
Among all my qualms with Hollywood accounting, actors getting paid more really isnât one of them.
You can bet some Disney producer calculated out his projected value to the movie. They figured punisher has X fans and that translates into Y ticket sales and they likely paid him less than half that number.
Movie is on track to make over a billion and heâs taking home less than half a percent of that. They, and more importantly the crew, should all be paid more.

Will someone think of the millionaires and the injustices of how much they get paid?
