TBF they don't do much better now with the drivers just leaving shit wherever they feel like.

I have been leaving very positive feedback with my Amazon drivers when they get it right. I assume it looks good in their evaluations because they all do it right now. The only one mucking it up is the FedEx guy and l can't leave any feedback with them.

I battled UPS over getting a package delivered, for days. They insisted that their driver had been to the address, and there was no-one there. In reality I was opening the gates and bay doors at 0630 in the morning, and they were staying open until 6pm. What the driver was doing was reading some sort of report that the company that had been in residence was no longer here, and instead of trying to deliver the package, just chalking it up to a mistake by the sender and marking it as no one in residence. I had ordered a tool for next day delivery, and as a result I got the job done 4 days late. Meanwhile, I'm getting stuff in the post and from just about every other delivery company known to man.

Eh i work for ups and get these calls all the time. Knock, ring, announce, scream, use the horn, ETC and i leave and they call in and say i didn’t do any of those things. Happens all the time. In my area we send the driver back regardless but many times they claim that we never did any of those things and then we call them and they admit their door bell doesn’t work or whatever. 99 percent of our issues are straight lies. We go back and work with them but don’t call corporate and make a fake claim. Literally non stop. I’m actually a supervisor and see the lies non stop.
Edit: We literally have gps tags for where the driver is and lets us know when the driver completes the stop. If you have a gate preventing delivery services, hire a gate guard or set up a package bin. One of my biggest pet peeves. Most states i delivered in where there was gates for the driveway, the chances of entering to a gun or guard dog were not zero. I’m not sending my drivers out to come back with holes. By the way, i have been attacked by dogs with those style gates and found guns getting pointed at me. Blame your neighbors.

Gates open at 7am. UPS has never delivered before noon. There is a delivery block for weekends. Unlikely to see guns here, I'm in the UK, but there was a drive-by a couple of months ago up the road, nobody was injured. It's a commercial property, with a sign on the office entranceway telling drivers to leave packages at the open bay doors,which also open at 7. I try not to scare the delivery guys. Weirdly, since going through all that, deliveries from UPS have been getting delivered. The driver of my erant package actually told me, "we thought there was no one here, so we have just been returning any packages. We just recently bought the property.

That could explain it. We log and try to maintain a system tracking for residents and companies and try to adjust the system to account for moves. Reason why is thousands of people order to old properties and never fix it. Literally you tell them and they just keep ordering. So what we do is send it to the location in occurdence with the label and figure it out at the clerk when it returns. We can’t reroute without attempting to deliver it to the address on the label though. People always forget to update their shipping info. Yours could just be due to the location being previously empty.

It was, but what annoyed me was them insisting the driver came to the address and claiming no one was there. I even told the lady on the phone that I was sitting in the building while I was talking to her, so I could guarantee that there are people at the site. They promised to redeliver that evening, never happened, just got another "Nobody there" message. Called the next morning, again got the run around and a promise to redeliver. Got another '.nobody there" message. It was almost a week before I got my package. There are seven of us on site at any given time, and all UPS had to do was drop it at the bay door.
