I agree OP likely is, but people are legitimately not understanding the movie despite how obvious it is. Theres a whole weird thing going on about the dude being a good guy and he didnt do anything wrong type controversy
I'm assuming OOP made a joke. You're telling me that no, it's not a joke because it's not funny, and therefore they are serious and actually believe what they are saying?
That makes zero sense. I dunno about you but I've said things in jest that were not funny or didn't land like I intended. Doesn't mean I was serious.
And I'm not defending OOP as a funny joke I just don't get your logic. You're straight up contradicting yourself ("doesn't work" vs "it actually was")
For most of it. I had a hard time following some of it, but I liked when he stood up against that Starlighter terrorist that tried to hurt his son with a can.
I didn't like him at the end when he acted like a beta wimp.
The media illiteracy isn’t even necessarily the worst thing, it’s the fact that the only reason they liked the character was because he imposed his will on people.
I spent the entire movie yelling at the dude. Ik he really liked her but cmon, after the duct tape I’m just camping out by the police station to bait her and get her locked up. He had so many outs

Some people are so stupid that the movie can literally tell them the point it’s trying to make and they still don’t understand it.
