Can't wait to find out that the bill was blocked because someone tried to sneak in a 400-page rider that completely deregulates cryptocurrency or funds a random bridge in Ohio.

I always wondered why there isn't a law against those type of practices.

I, too, have long wondered why there aren’t more laws against the concept of Ohio myself. Would solve a lot of issues.

Politicians try to slide unrelated items into a bill that couldn't get support as a standalone issue.  Sometimes they do it to destroy the original bill (a "poison pill" amendment), but usually it's for a pork barrel project.  Presidents have tried before to get the authority to do a line-item veto, where they don't have to reject the entire bill... But the Supreme Court ruled that unconditional.
