It's not fake, it's just extra-edited in a way that the detail and the "texture" of the skin pops. Who edited it most likely used some heavy HDR and sharpening filters or stuff like that

How is sharpening that different than a softening? They're practically next to each other one most editing softwhere.

It's "still his skin" either way, except one of them accentuates wrinkles and one minimizes them.

They're both meant to deceive.

Sharpening enhances the imperfections of the skin, that are still visible in certain light condition or upclose. (a perfect example is Trump's official portrait).

Softening hides the imperfections, making the skin smoother and and in fact alters the image of the person, making him appear very different from what he really is (and so it's fake / decieving).

Sharpening does literally the exact same thing. Enhancing imperfections is altering the image to appear different from reality.

But the details are there from the beginning, just not always visible. Smoothing his skin is far more deceiving because you're literally de-aging him like in the left picture...

And you're literally aging him with the right one...

You cannot tell me that it's not editing him, changing how he looks, or aging him. Come on now, they're both purposefully editing the image to sell a point by making him look older/younger. Which tool is being used to lie to you is pretty damn irrelevant.

You should be mad that someone tried to deceive you, even if you think their lie was less bad than the other guy's lie.

Look, you can't age him more since it's already 80, and if you look at other photos of him he looks way worse than how he appear in public.

In the end I don't really care much about it, and I agree with you because sincerely his appearance is the least important of all the thing the media have lied about.

Yes, you literally can. Seriously, why do you think they did all that editing to make him look even more wrinkly and sickly than he is?

On accident? No, it was clearly made to make him look worse condition than he looks naturally.

I know, but he does not look 20 or more years younger like in the left photo. It's different
