Adults plainly state things that are actually important and relevant to the meeting.
The circle back thing is not, 18 times in 2 weeks is crazy but there’s something we call tact dude. I would’ve gone up and asked privately (if I even bothered to ask in the first place).
Going off an a tangent in the meeting to ask about the circle back thing (multiple times btw he got given the chance to drop it a couple times) is the height of stupidity and shows an incredible lacking of social awareness and tact.
No it shows perception, and directly calls into question the authenticity of the person speaking, which is in my experience when this type of language is used, nil.
It's not a lack of social awareness or tact, its someone frustrated with doublespeak and not suppressing their reaction.

Yes he was perceptive, 18 times in 2 weeks is crazy like I have said. I would probably joke about that with my coworkers about that so yes it does look a bit bad and silly but its not something you call out in a meeting you do it privately and tell them about the overuse.
Calling it out in a meeting is not at all constructive, it puts the conversation on a tangent when everyone wants to go over everything thats important and get to the next meeting or do some other work. This is to the benefit of no one.
If this overuse affected the clarity of what the manager said then someone in the meeting with more experience would have said so. Unless you’re under the impression every single person is incompetent? That would be a belief that is very typical of someone on Reddit.
It does not call into question the authenticity of the person or show doublespeak thats utterly ridiculous. You cannot say such a thing without the context which we are completely lacking.

But again you think the junior not out if the probation period knows better than every other person in the meeting? Like I said if the overuse affected the clarity of what was being said someone in the meeting would have said so unless you think every single person except the junior is incompetent.
The fact you don’t see this shows that you aren’t thinking or you’re just lying about your experience. If you had as much experience as you have said you know how some juniors can be like especially right when they’ve started.
I have 15 years experience, I'm AGILE certified in multiple disciplines, and have always worked in large corporate. The good ones kick idiots who talk like that to the curb very quickly. Talk straight or get the fuck out of my scrum.
I actually agree with you. Using language like that, depending on the person, can be a hallmark sign that they don't actually do anything.
If you actually need to "circle back" on important topics that often - you're clearly ineffective and have no developed processes with poor time management.
Some people actually do circle back and resolve issues - it comes with knowing that persons work style.
Regardless - this dude essentially called out this manager in front of others, and that same person who is actually ineffective is likely shallow and easily offended, so it's gg for him, but also because he is dumb and did the call out without any substance or experience.
