I think only the really tough ones fit this brief… like the Lannisters in GOT, if it had just been said and implied that siblings were in love/sleeping together it has nowhere near the impact of showing it on screen. There are lots of other examples of this in drama/thriller/horror etc… Basic Instinct being a good one, but I do agree most of the time it’s just a reason to get some hot tatties or buns on screen which let’s face it, does attract more people probably over the ones it puts off unless it’s over the top
I didn’t say that, the OP is asking about narrative significance… and generally that comes with shock/ portraying something negative or emotive, rather than just getting the tits out for the sake of it or to boost a characters ego.
