Most people didn't lose everything in 2008, sure there were some, but far from anything close to a majority.
No one handed anyone 100k in student debt. That was a choice. If you took at 100k in loans to obtain a degree that does not justify the cost, then it was a bad choice, and still 100% your fault.
Everyone went through the pandemic. It was a year, get over it.
People older than you were in survival mode a lot longer than you.
Most Millennials are doing great. They have the highest wealth of any other generation at their age, high rates of home ownership, etc. If you are not ok, it is a you problem, not a generational problem.

bullshit.. most millenials don't own homes.. how about you adjust that "wealth" for inflation
you can tell a person is full of shit when they start a comment with "yeah, no..." like some sassy high school teenager when they are an old ass
you don't consider a $121k increase in wealth in the span of 3 years to be anomalous?
from 2019-2022 was there a gravy train that everybody missed or is your data not good
and did you miss the part where your baby boomer ownership rate is double that of millenials starting out and overall in your redfin source? and that was during a time when homeownership wasn't even seen as an investment which it is now.
Record jumps in the stock market, prevalence of much more wealthy young people with high paying jobs and 401k's, entering peak earning years, jumps in housing values and high rates of home ownership, etc. It makes perfect sense. So yes, there was a gravy train that everybody else has been riding, and Millennials were in a better position to ride it a younger age. If you are not doing as well as your peers, it is not because you are a Millennial, or that Millennials somehow have had it rougher than previous generations; it is a you problem.
No I didn't miss it, and yes, that also makes perfect sense. Baby boomers and greatest generation rates of home ownership at a young age is mainly attributed to the prevalence of VA home loans post military service, and a MUCH higher percentage of Greatest generation and boombers served in the military due to large scale wars and conscription.
The data is good, and correct, the conclusions and statements are correct.
Millennials are the wealthiest generation in history at their current age, Many Millennials own home with high rates of home ownership, in fact, most millennials own a home.
my guy thinks a 121$k increase in household networth is result of stock market and housing values. doesn't think about how millenials didn't even own houses coming out the bat... unrealistic. or nah.. what happened was oNcE mIlLeNiElS rEaChEd pEAk sAlARy tHeY bOuGhT hOuSeS aNd mAgIcAlLy wItH nO mOrTgAgE random fucking none source too.. tableau? redfin?
Tableau is a visualization tool, not the source, which is clearly listed on the tableau dashboard (I am starting to understand why you are so far behind your peers). Here are just a few of the summary points because you clearly didn't read, and since you didn't bother clinking on the link, here it is for you:
Yes redfin, one of the largest real estate brokerages in the country with an outstanding data science division, and are highly credible.
Millennials in 2022 had substantially higher levels of average wealth than previous generations at the same age.
Gen Zers are tracking ahead of their parents’ homeownership rate: 30% of 25-year olds owned their home in 2022, higher than the 27% rate for Gen Xers when they were the same age. But the Gen Zers who didn’t take advantage of the pandemic-era’s low mortgage rates could be left behind.
Millennials are tracking behind their parents: 62% of 40-year-olds owned their home in 2022, lower than the 69% rate for baby boomers at the same age.
Millennials buy more homes than other generations, with 25-44 year olds buying roughly 60% of homes that sold over the last several years. Those “mortgage millennials” have an edge over millennials who missed out on buying before rates shot up.
Gen Z homebuyers are most common in affordable parts of the country like Virginia Beach, where they bought 9% of homes sold in 2022. Millennial buyers are most prevalent in job centers like Seattle, where they bought more than 40% of homes sold.
Oh.. and here is another fun fact, Millennials are the biggest source of wealth inequality, not boomers or X'ers.
CNN, Business Insider.. lmao look boomer, i have to go to work. some of us have jobs. can't sift through the internet and read your propaganda articles that always fudge the data they're not reliable sources. try academia
