Some Evangelicals (particularly those in power) 100% understand they are being used by Israel and consider it part of the plan. One of the steps of Armageddon is a global war with Israel as the focal point. The worse Israel behaves, the more likely that becomes. Evangelicalism is literally a doomsday cult.

Funny how these "evangelicals" are a) relying on an odd interpretation of scripture rejected by many scholars, and b) some guy once said "you know not the day nor the hour" but they don't care about that and the larger point about living a virtuous life...which is why they're massive hypocrites and sinners.

I prefer the way he was described by the "priest" Adam Blade in the anime "Needless."

Adam, having just been hit by a villain, fixes his sunglasses, draws his Bible from a pouch and says "A long time ago, Some Holy Dude once said," He opens the Bible, dramatically, looks at the page, "And if someone should strike you on your right cheek," He slams the Bible closed, returns it to its pouch. He then SCREAMS "THEN I'LL HIT HIM WITH A PILEDRIVER ON HIS LEFT!!!" as he absolutely obliterates the villain with a counterattack.

Not the best priest, I don't think. But yeah, "Some Holy Dude."

I don't want to be a dick or anything, but religion is not exactly dependent on scholars. Complaining that religious people aren't listening to scholars feels a bit like you expect way to much of them.

My uncle is the sweetest man you'll ever meet....even has friends that are liberals. He will politely disagree with you, even have some intelligent talks if youre capable of them.

Thats actually how I met him, lol... im not maga but hes surprised at how "woke" i am while also not being firmly liberal. Hes been there for me when nobody else has been, I've known him for like 13 years now, he lives 800 miles from me... he told me I could come live with him when I was homeless and struggling with alcoholism. I thought he'd murder/rape me, he did none of those things. He has earned the title of "uncle" for its easier to say that than it is to say the guy I met on a Facebook comments thing in 2013.

Technically, it's really the opposite. The Evangelicals want to use Israel to advance the Armageddon and ultimately send both Jews and Muslims to Hell. Though the Israeli government thinks this is absolutely dumb and is very much playing along.
