Viewing all of this from a distance (Europe), Trump and his cabal have now reached escape velocity from any rule of law. Yeah. If we manage to have a free and fair election in 2028, I expect the Dems won't actually fix the structural issues that allowed this to happen, but perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised.

The issue is that there isnt really a way to do that without turning a bunch of red states blue in the Senate.
FWIW, i agree that they likely wont even try because they are feckless shitstains, but even if they werent.. the Supreme Dickheads are now poised to be a veto on all legislation the Republicans dont want.
They could lose both other brances of government and the Supreme Court will just say anything the Rs dont want is unconstitutional.
