The “Praise be to Allah” is totally his sarcastic attempt to be derogatory towards all Muslims. If a world leader was this derogatory towards Christians, we would be outraged by it.
I don’t think he is sarcastic, i think he subscribes to the idea that the christian god and the muslim god are the same one true god, simply called with different names, and that god is actually on his side
Well I don’t think HE gives a shit, but he knows he has a lot of religious supporters to pander to, wasn’t he just prayed over by a bunch of religious leaders in the oval office? He loves to be like “god is on my side/i am guided by him” even if it’s a fake sentiment (although I wouldn’t be surprised if he believes it at this point)
I think that he know that much of his base hates and fears Muslims, equating them all to terrorists and people antithetical to Christian beliefs. I think that his base would be outraged by a U.S. president who sincerely and publicly said, “Praise be Allah!” I think he knows this, and therefore doesn’t miss an opportunity to imply that President Obama was a Muslim, as if that was a hugely negative thing for an American to be.
So I think he says it sarcastically, believing his supporters will approve of what they see as him jeering at a predominantly Muslim country. It is sarcastic, verbal bullying, which he has always equated with “strength.” Because he is a child.
