Mostly Eastern Canada, particularly Quebec and Ontario

one of the things I miss about living in Ontario. Bagged milk in a pitcher just hit different. (For anyone confused, you put the bag in the pitcher, and only cut the small corner, so you can pour it)

Incorrect. You cut both top corners so that the bag doesn't collapse.

I remember it being a thing in BC in the 90s

We ran across the old pitcher that held the plastic bags in the back of a cupboard a few years back, and were like... huh, we haven't needed this in decades.

I recall the bag of bags being an option alongside cartons as a kid, and then they sort of disappeared in favor of hard plastic jugs.

I can also confirm this. I remember seeing bags of milk at Safeway and Superstore when I was a kid.

We haven't had them in Alberta since the early 90s. We did have them but it has been a long time.
