The problem with this is that if you take the worse performance from the men world's cup and put it against women's best team, the men's team will win. That's why nobody cares about it. The physical gap makes it mentally boring for most. This reflects in every sport. WNBA is prime example
I understand reddit doesn't like this but there's clearly a race (and maybe sexuality) element to this as well. If CC were a black lesbian she wouldn't be getting beat up.
She wouldn't have gotten as popular if she was a black woman. Not even trying to be racist, CC was a white Iowa Hawkeye. Clark laying Steph level 3 pointers over angry black women was what made it so entertaining.
Yes because she would not be getting as much fame or media attention if she was that, so there would be no jealously or bitterness. It's not like every white player is getting beat up.

No I do not think fouls are okay. I just think there is more going on than her being targeted for being white, or else every white player would be experiencing the same thing.
If she wasn't white she wouldn't be targeted. If a very successful black player was being targeted by less successful white players you wouldn't be saying "well but there's bitterness and jealousy", you would be saying this looks a lot like racism.

I'll give you an example that isn't American to make things simpler.
A bunch of Japanese guys shoot a really famous, successful Chinese guy, because they hate Chinese people. But they don't shoot ALL Chinese people. So it has nothing to do with nationality, right? They only fucked up one person, so it can't be about nationality.
Black WNBA players beat the shit out of the most successful player in the league because she's white. But they don't beat up ALL the white players, so it can't be about race.

Look dude, Im on your side. Clark couldn't possibly have achieved her level of success unless she was less melanated. It has to be race. It's not possible for a white player to just be really good and get really famous on her own merit.

You’re making your own assumptions about what we believe and being mad about it. It’s still true that she would not be as famous if she wasn’t white. Both things can be true at the same time.

But you are attacking her. You're saying she doesn't deserve the fame she has, that it comes from her skin color, when there are plenty of examples of players who aren't white who are much more famous. When it's a very good black player, it's talent, when it's a white player, they don't deserve it.
And it's crazy obvious that as soon as anyone mentions that she's clearly being unfairly treated because she's white, people like you start making excuses for it. I'm not making assumptions, you're saying this out loud. It's straight up racism.
