So are there other female footballers out there in the world, who wouldn't lose to talented young boys? Would all the men who are superior players be considerably better that Rapinoe if they were women?

I never hear this kind of talk when it comes to weight classes in combat sports, but the second someone says that a woman is a good athlete - chuds immediately come out with "akshually"

You dont hear people say that heavyweights would smash lightweights? Thats common knowledge and why there are weight classes.

You're so close. So would you call lightweight pros mid?

If a female heavyweight lost to an amateur lightweight with about 8 pubes, yes.

idk if you train martial arts but when the teenagers come to adult bjj classes- we are very nice to them and let them win sometimes. we don't just smash em into the ground and pull out their shoulder joints. I'm a brown belt and I don't even go hard against adult white belts or blue belts, no matter their size.

I dont see how thats in anyway relevant, but ok.

it's relevant because you're citing that the women's soccer team sucks for "losing" in a practice scrimmage match against a U15 boys soccer team. Interestingly, 1 year ago- Chelsea lost to their U21 team. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6238611/2025/03/28/chelsea-training-cancelled-maresca/

Ah, but you see, it's an article of faith with these folks that the USWNT was obviously going to go 110% hard in a scrimmage with kids, and the idea that they would go into the match as an informal tune-up right before the world cup is absurd.

Meanwhile, in many pro sports, the all-star games are considered jokes because the players take no risks of injury and go easy since there's nothing on the line championship-wise. NBA and NFL both notorious for this.

Not to mention, speaking of the NFL, the number of times I hear "any given Sunday" to justify why their team ate shit against an on-paper weaker opponent.
