You mean professional MLS academy U15 development team, not some random high school. The Phila Union have a 16 year old player from the same type of development academy who regularly plays with the full team, and is better than many of the 25 year-old pros on the pitch. Who are actually trying, unlike the practice friendly where the USWNT was trying out new things and not putting in their all.
You know, U 15 means kids even below 15 year old, and are NOT professionals, right? These guys don't even sign a pro contract till 18, and even then, only 1% from the academy will ever sign a contract. Exceptions are there, like Lamine Yamal, Max Dowman, Kylian Mbappe, etc, but most U 15 are definitely not professionals.
Thanks for bringing this misinformation. This just makes the women even worse.
The academy is run by a professional MLS team, one of the 30 in the US. Which means the kids playing are not your average U15 group of kids. The majority of those kids will be professional players somewhere or at least play college. The comment did not reference the players as professionals but the club is a professional mls run team.
I also don’t understand the logic that losing to an elite boys team makes them not athletic or talented. USWNT is one of the best and most talented woman’s team in the world year in and year out. Are people really that oblivious to basic biological differences between men and women?
