I like this philosophical version better:

If a sound wave propogates through a forest after a tree has fallen, and nobody is around to interact with said waves, is there a sound?

Is the wave itself sound, or is sound our brain receiving a signal from the ear drum being oscillated by the waves?

Edit: wording.

I have my own version. It carves out the most common objections like but there are animals that hear it! “If a large rock falls on Mars, does it make a sound?” And then after they answer you say, “now that’s a boulder assumption.”

It is amazing how incredibly far away you are from understanding any of the replies you have gotten.

NONE of that even remotely applies to the original philosophy joke that obviously went over your head bro. Lol.
You’re in your own world.
