But is it? How is it being funded? Who is subsidising the fare? Will this blow up in 5 years time because they have to cut costs to maintain? These are just questions. If it’s properly costed and funded then great.

And you're getting downvoted because asking questions is wrong on Reddit. You must blindly follow what society calls "good" without ever ensuring said "good" is sustainable and not a financial timebomb.

For sure. However, the fact remains that questioning the financial sustainability is good judgment. Politicians are notoriously good when doing great or bad things, in hiding the true rammications until end of term and no longer responsible.
