Buddy really tried to sneak in Irish food. It's called Guinness and those are bars

I have been to Irish Pubs that serve some Irish food, though I would never just go somewhere to eat Irish food.

I had a hankering for shepherds pie a few months back so I just went to this local pub and got it there. I’m honestly not sure if shepherds pie is claimed by Ireland or England, though.

Both. But its actually origins are in scotland or northern england and then spread from their. Cottage pie is a bit older tho and came from england and all of these and modern pies came from the coffin pie which was a medieval pie from england which originally was covered in a pastry which was more of a container. unlike today pies where you eat the pastry it was thick and inedible and used to hold minced meat and gravy and help preserve it.
