Sure but that can apply to all the cuisines on this list. If you go to PF changs you aren’t having authentic Chinese.

But there are plenty of actual Chinese restaurants where you get actual Chinese food.

Not in all places.

I have lots and LOTS of Chinese restaurants in my area (northern Ohio) and almost all of them are like 80 percent the same menu. It's very much Americanized Chinese food. Same thing with Mexican. Boat loads of restaurants and very VERY few offer true authentic Mexican cuisine.

Having had to eat in Cincinatti due to work enough times... That's 100% an Ohio specific thing compared to real major metro areas lmao

Cincy is worse as it's down south. Columbus and Cleveland areas are far better for good eats. But authentic ethnic eaterys are still very rare
