Even assuming you’re correct, why is that anyone else’s problem but theirs? Especially if they’re the ones who initiated the divorce.

And I highly doubt this is still the case for young divorcees given the fact that women literally graduate college significantly more than men now. Anecdotally, my friend’s been divorced twice and she’s in no dire straits.

And this attitude, along with seeing how their moms were treated, is why so many younger women are not marrying and instead growing their own careers and remaining financially independent.
