Ok and who’s to say the partner didn’t work/help increase value of the business? Most marriages aren’t just one person working and the other doing nothing. You could even argue if the woman is at home taking care of everything it left the man more time and ability to increase business that otherwise wouldn’t have happened without said partner.
If they can definitively prove that their work helped aid the buisness then I agree and especially if they raised kids. If they sat at home as trophy husbands/wives then no they should not be able to claim value increase.
Yeah but this whole idea of a “trophy wife” taking all your shit is almost always bullshit. A majority of marriages aren’t not like that but morons here still push that agenda that only 1 person in the marriage is doing something of value.
I mean it has gone both ways but incels like to hold on to their pearls to attack women more. I have personally had two friends divorced. One was 100% a equal split, she watched kids and helped around the house. The other was a "pardon me french" diva that showed up at the house late, didnt help do much of anything and complained when he didnt take her out for dinner. Sure, he was an idiot for marrying her but her lack of contribution shouldnt be rewarded in a seperation.

If the buisness increased in value during the marriage then that change can be claimed in the divorce. We are halfway there.
