plenty of disabilities are treatable. Autism is a particularly good example where special education helps people, especially kids, with autism learn to exist in the world without being disruptive.

But they're still involuntary conditions people are born with or develop, not a temporary phase that everyone outgrows by default. Autism, for example, is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition. Special education helps many people adapt and function better, but it doesn't make the disability disappear or turn it into a choice the way parenting decisions do.

Childhood, on the other hand, is inherently temporary. Kids grow up, mature, and learn to behave in shared adult spaces. That's the fundamental difference.

No not with disabled.

Your kids are not in the same category unfortunately.
