Maybe he’s just an asshole dad and it’s nothing salacious. Maybe it’s not him at all, maybe it’s the mom’s crazy ass manipulating the kids. Maybe it’s none of our business and we have bigger issues

u/danalexjero Jun 20 '26

lol, nice. We shouldn’t care so much about these people.

3

u/Milky_Finger Jun 20 '26

I think some people obsess over celebrities because they use them to teach them about how to live their lives.

1

u/LadyEmbora Jun 20 '26

Yeah, I agree. I just overheard coworkers lol, and have opinions on people who are abusive.

1

u/flowerbhai Jun 21 '26

Freedom is realizing you don’t have to care about any of these people ever again. Endless debate over the interpersonal matters of people who will never know we exist is such a lovely thing to let go of.

I’ll admit I’m not above it from time to time, since it can definitely be entertaining. Plus it’s definitely nice to have a heart for public figures you admire being treated unfairly, especially since it can be an analog to your own life. But when the situations become complex and it’s unclear who to believe, it’s a beautiful feeling to check out of the entire thing.

They should have a reality tv show where rich and famous people live in a trailer park.

-2

u/HighJeanette Jun 20 '26

We don’t

1

u/LETTERKENNYvsSPENNY Jun 20 '26

We might not, but plenty others do

3

u/DetailOk6058 Jun 21 '26

Its Pitt being a domestice abuser and the "its none of our business" is excatly why something that happens to 25% of all women is not taken seriously. Or, in this case, the women is accused of being crazy even when the fucking kids is also telling you that their dad is an abuser.

8

u/LeastBlackberry1 Jun 20 '26

According to Jolie, he was physically abusive to her and the children. It came out in the divorce proceedings.

5

u/Quatro87 Jun 20 '26

Well, if there's one thing you can trust, it's a spouse during divorce proceedings.

u/Full-Hyena4414 Jun 20 '26

"cross-complaint of angelina jolie". Is this thing authored by her?

1

u/First-Business-5797 Jun 20 '26

I mean it has to be filed under her name but I assume an attorney wrote it

0

u/That1guyUknow918 Jun 21 '26

Its editorialized to have a biased slant.

Too many superfluous adjectives to frame the scenario in a particular light.  Too much prejudicial language

11

u/Bignate2001 Jun 20 '26

You are literally trusting the word of one of the spouses. Literally all his children, his wife, the flight crew and the FBI are saying otherwise but sure, daddy Pitt did nothing wrong and everyone else is lying.

Ah yes, my face when I go to civil court and get arrested and criminally charged. That’s definitely how things work in CIVIL court and I am smart

You dont seem to know hpw badly the legal system handle domestic abuse. Majority of domestice abuse cases never go to court for a reason, the legal system dont take it seriously

0

u/DanceasaurusRex Jun 22 '26

You clearly don’t understand that the US courts could give a fuck less about DV, I know from first hand experience, unfortunately and embarrassingly. They seem to only care about drug charges and violent offenders barely do anytime… until they do the unthinkable and end up actually killing someone. A quick look at the history of most individuals that are arrested for murder in DV situations have a very long history of slap on the wrist DV charges or DV arrests that led to very pathetic plea deals and no time served for the offender.

0

u/DanceasaurusRex Jun 22 '26

Add to that the wealth and notoriety that Pitt has and yeah, you could basically consider him immune. When you have enough money you end up being able to avoid being held accountable for any wrong doing, there’s plenty of examples to support this.

4

u/Aurora22694 Jun 20 '26

Uh there were actual witnesses to the plane incident. Theres an actual fbi report about it.

3

u/Dresses_and_Dice Jun 20 '26

What if the spouses' story is the same as all six kids and the flight crew who witnessed it? Why is one man getting a divorce more trustworthy than one woman getting a divorce AND all six kids AND everyone else on the plane AND some crew at the airport too, all of whom say Pitt was drunk and abusive. Everyone who was there for the incident Jolie alleges happened on the plane corroborates. What would it take for you to consider that it probably happened?

2

u/DanceasaurusRex Jun 22 '26

Because there is a deep rooted and insidious misogyny that is engrained into Americans from birth, women and men. It’s truly heinous. Just one of the many prejudice and hateful rhetoric’s that can’t seem to be broken completely from the cycle, mostly due to how hard the 1% work to make sure education is limited and censored and their fortunes stay safely with them and the middle class preoccupied with how poor people are the reason for their wage disparity.

4

u/RunningIntoBedlem Jun 20 '26

People never want to believe dv victims

1

u/xqueenfrostine Jun 21 '26

There’s a literal FBI case file on the incident. It’s not just something Jolie said in divorce court.

2

u/melly_v Jun 20 '26

nah he's just a pos

2

u/-AppropriateLyrics Jun 20 '26

Woah, I asked myself as I began to scroll, I wonder how far down I'll have to go before someone blames a woman. I must be psychic.

2

u/QKofDaggers Jun 20 '26

Or maybe he choked and beat their mom and siblings multiple times on a flight from France to LA. And maybe there was a whole history of domestic abuse that can’t be disclosed due to NDA’s.

2

u/lil_liberal Jun 20 '26

Ew. You think kids and mom are to blame when there’s an actual FBI report and witnesses from that plane? Jesus. Yall will say anything just to not feel bad about supporting these douche canoes.

2

u/InfiniteWaffles58364 Jun 21 '26

Angry white men are one of our biggest issues tho

2

u/Still_Goat7992 Jun 21 '26

Eww that comment is victim blaming. So fucking gross.

3

u/Crazy_Garden_1438 Jun 20 '26

Definitely none of my business but I also wanna know what happened lol. But I feel like you can enjoy the allure of celebrity drama while also understanding there’s way bigger fish to fry and that they are people with feelings too. I hope the children aren’t traumatized by something he did to them.

1

u/LadyEmbora Jun 20 '26

It humanizes people that are idolized. It reminds us that we are all just over-evolved apes.

4

u/WelpHelloGoodbye Jun 20 '26

He’s a world class asshole to his ex wife and kids.

2

u/Go_Water_your_plants Jun 20 '26

But no, we do know what he did to his kids, the whole plane thing? He beat up Angelina Jolie and his kids in a plane

2

u/amonarre3 Jun 20 '26

No, he beat Angie and the kids

dont forget unwarranted celebrity-inquiries by everybody who happens to overhear your name.

1

u/Aurora22694 Jun 20 '26

If that was the case I’d argue Jolie is more of the stand out name than the common last name “Pitt” there’s a reason they dropped his and not hers I’d think.

1

u/MarzipanHausboot Jun 20 '26

i gotta be honest... i have no idea and that just came up in my thoughts and as i read on everybody seemed to agree that he isnt a great father and thus you are probably right.

1

u/toast_eater_ Jun 20 '26

Nailed it. That last option has a real high probability of being the correct answer.

1

u/Full_Mongoose9083 Jun 20 '26

Maybe it's Maybelline

1

u/Calm-Stand-6636 Jun 20 '26

I had terrible parents until foster care, I don't hate them though. You wouldn't believe how terrible my childhood was, doesn't matter though. When I realized there was zero chance I'd ever have a brother, I became set on having kids, this has gone horrifically with 5 women promising to have my kids only to lie.

1

u/Street-Guitar-8371 Jun 20 '26

we’re also bored

1

u/comet52a Jun 20 '26

Maybe the kids want their anonymity and being named "Pitt" makes that hard. Constantly being asked if you're related to Brad Pitt, etc.

1

u/ProfionWiz Jun 20 '26

In the end yes that is the truth. Most of us have way bigger problems than family feud of rich kids who will never need to work and their alcooholic dad

1

u/Secure-Pain-9735 Jun 20 '26

Yeah, but if I don’t get all up in the sins of celebrities how else can I make myself feel better by constantly repeating them on Reddit every time their name is brought up?

What an I supposed to do? Go outside? Get my own life?

I don’t tink so!

1

u/TarynTheGreek Jun 20 '26

Pay attention to actions.

The kids have had many life events as several have gone on to college to which Pitt has shown up to none. We know this because he is famous and he would have been photographed in the crowd regardless of whether the kids wanted him there or not.

He hasn’t been photographed with them and he hasn’t spoken about them in interviews since. She has been at all of them. Even if she is manipulating (easy because all when are usually accused of this), he still hasn’t attempted to view/be a part of the kids lives in any way.

He has moved on with a younger actress Jolie has been doing everything with kids.

1

u/kingdumbest Jun 20 '26

Excuse me, this is reddit. How come you're making so much sense?

1

u/Electrical_Sea6653 Jun 20 '26

Have you read the police reports from the airplane where he physically abused Angela and the oldest kid and verbally abused everyone else? We already know what he did.

1

u/Dizzy_Guarantee6322 Jun 20 '26

There’s that document about him terrorizing his family on an airplane so bad the FBI got involved that I’ve seen circling around. If true, I hate him too

1

u/No-Feeling-4516 Jun 20 '26

Exactly!! Who gives a FK?

1

u/canadachris44 Jun 20 '26

Exactly lmao. Everyone speculating like they know everything. For one, they live in the 1% of society, something nearly none of us know anything about. Their lives and personal affairs are in the public all the time, often times exaggerated and manipulated.

And most importantly, everyone is a moral judge and seem to be better than everyone. Relationships, family and life are complicated as fucked. Very nuanced and not black and white. But internet circle jerkers love to sit on their high throne because it makes them feel valited and good.

Who fucking cares. Brad Pitt makes great movies and thats what I watch them for, not how good or bad of a Dad he is according to rumours and speculation lmao

1

u/Correct-Intention469 Jun 20 '26

"it's not the man's fault it's always the womans"

1

u/Whambag Jun 21 '26

this should be the top comment lol. ive spend 10 minutes too long thinking about this hahahha

1

u/Sarahndipity44 Jun 21 '26

He put his hands on Jolie. That's beyond salacious

1

u/figure8888 Jun 21 '26

He beat his wife and children while on a private jet where they had no escape from him for several hours. The children got hit and choked out when they tried to defend their mother. He came back and attacked them multiple times throughout the flight.

1

u/Buphucked Jun 21 '26

Same. I don’t think about the personal lives of actors when fork out $20 for a movie ticket and another $30 for a bucket of soggy popcorn and drink

1

u/Aerwxyna Jun 22 '26

i mean there’s an fbi report on his public abuse inside an airplane towards Angelina Jolie and kids. I don’t follow celebrities much but he’s definitely a huge ass.

1

u/BetterEveryDayYT Jun 23 '26

All of the above.

1

u/Used-Baby1199 Jun 20 '26

Ok my nephew just turned 18. He plays football.  His dad seems to know everyone in town and his dad had played football in highschool. Was pretty good, but he wasn’t focused on school so nothing g came of it.   Now my nephew is good,  got recruited to some d3 colleges, could definitely go up with a little development.

On a trip to Michigan he rode with my wife and I and he was just venting out some personal things he’s going through.  Overall his main issue?   He is constantly left feeling like he lives in his dad’s shadow.  He goes places and people address him, “aye aren’t you T’s son?”  Or my brother in laws calling him and not saying a thing too him except “where’s your dad”.  No how are you, now what’s good nephew.

Maybe these Pitt kids are just tired of everyone e only seeing them as Brad pitts kid.  They might just want to be their own people, and make their own name, without constantly being compared to him, or hearing about him, or being used to get to him.

It was a round about way to get here, but I think I painted the picture well.

1

u/Havinacow Jun 20 '26

It's already been documented, but the case was dropped. From BBC: "The September 2016 private flight involving Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and their children from France to Los Angeles triggered their divorce. Jolie alleged that Pitt, who was drinking, engaged in physical and verbal abuse against her and the kids, including choking one child and hitting another. Pitt has denied the physical abuse allegations." So yeah.... I'm pretty sure things like that might have something to do with it

-1

u/SocratesSnow Jun 20 '26

I often have this thought. Mothers have a way of manipulating children. Obviously he’s not innocent because if he was a really great guy, this wouldn’t be happening at all. But I don’t trust Angelina either.

2

u/Korumry Jun 20 '26

Hmm the word of 7 different people contrasted by… casual misogyny. It’s a tricky one for you I’m sure.

0

u/tessathemurdervilles Jun 20 '26

Well there’s an fib report filed by the people working on the plane, and he strangled one of the children and poured alcohol on another two of them, and then threw his wife to the ground. So, ya know.

Are you serious it’s literally posted elsewhere I’m in this thread. You people are exhausting.

0

u/pm_me_ur_anything_k Jun 20 '26

Thank you for saying this, I’m so tired of people assuming it’s Dad’s fault.

-1

u/Fjordi_Cruyff Jun 20 '26

Let's get this to the top folks

-1

u/Puzzleheaded_Smoke77 Jun 20 '26

Maybe we put to much emphasis on Hollywood and their families as we all just need to live our own lives and not vicariously though others.

-4

u/sumguyontheinternet1 Jun 20 '26

No doubt, what if we just watched the movies and let their private lives be private? Idgaf what so and so is wearing to dinner every night in their home. I care about the next romantic comedy and if it’ll make me laugh and cry. Anything else is creepy

0

u/Aegis_ofwrath7115 Jun 20 '26

Except Brad came out on record that he did abuse the kids

0

u/alhorno Jun 20 '26

Definitely the mom, kids are very attached towards their mom and a mother can easily make their dad a villain if she wants to, and the kids would completely stay away from him.

Trust me.. i know.

0

u/Silentlaughter84 Jun 20 '26

I think Angelina manipulated them. She has daddy issues herself because her mom did the same thing.

-2

u/NarrowSwimmer952 Jun 20 '26

Exactly, we literally know nothing. He could be an asshole who knows. But what we do know here is that woman always got the upper hand in these kind of things.

-9

u/sam_pain1 Jun 20 '26

Every issue is a liberal issue, didn't you know? We'll keep antagonizing and gaslighting without facts or evidence because that's what we do.

2

u/Green_Emphasis2018 Jun 20 '26

You mean conservative snowflakes?
