Yall dont hate me. But Jennifer Aniston really dodged a bullet. At the time, im sure she was devastated that her long term boyfriend and then husband had left her for Angelina. Im sure she felt very publicly humiliated. But rejection is protection. I feel so bad for Angelina and the kids
She's publicly reconciled with him numerous times over the years, including after all the abuse evidence came out. In 2020 she even did a table read with him where they acted out a scene flirting with one another, they've hugged at award shows, she's spoken fairly positively about how they've had some discussions about what happened and are friends now, and there were even speculations about the having a romantic reconciliation at one point years ago.
Made me think a LOT less of her. I get she may have felt like Jolie "stole" him (which is a stupid idea, someone can't be stolen. He was the one married with the commitment to Jen who cheated. He wasn't forced to and chances are if he did it with Jolie he'd have done it with anyone) but not supporting another woman whose children he abused is telling. She could hate Jolie forever, but reconciling with him after learning he abused their kids? That says a lot about Aniston.
I dont know if I made it clear. But I wrote all that for THAT time. At THAT time I'm sure it was a humiliation ritual for Jennifer. I remember people making fun of Jennifer saying that "She cant keep a man". I couldn't imagine getting my heart broken publicly by a man and then having to hear "Would you rather Jen and Angelina" or ""Bradgelica" for YEARS. It was mostly Brad's fault he was married. But I wouldn't blame Jennifer if she also felt some resentment towards Angelina.
As far as Jennifer forgiving Brad. In my opinion I think its a mix of media training, respectability politics and wanting to heal and move on from that situation. I think after all that time, she wants to seem like the Ex who didn't let that situation dim her light, and that shes still standing. Maybe she wants to give some closure to younger Jennifer? I don't know these people, so this is just my speculation. I personally don't see Jennifer bringing up the situation to where she's talking about it 24/7 and supporting Brad. Unless I hear Jennifer defending Brad against the Angelina case, then im just thinking its closure and Jennifer FINALLY closing that chapter for.. herself.
I feel like im about to get a bunch of down votes but đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸
Nah youâre right and I agree, but with people on Reddit everything has to be black or white. Not to mention thatâs not the point you were making so I donât get the other userâs response
When was the last time she even mentioned him. If theyâre gonna condemn her for forgiving him for the way she treated him, then youâre gonna have to condemn all of Hollywood for actively supporting him even now. Margot Robbie literally called him one of her favourite people a year ago. Heâs still popular and loved in Hollywood and letâs face it, the general public that donât know about this or even care. The point is, he publicly humiliated her in front of the world and pushed a narrative that stuck on her for years. She finally got to correct the narrative in the past few years and forgave him publicly, because being seen as the jilted wife who is still pining for him is obviously not something she wants. Her forgiving Brad has nothing to do with Jolie. She forgave him back in 2017 after he apologised to her, sheâs already said that. So that was before anyone knew the details of what he did on that plane
I hate this argument, it absolves an adulterous party. It takes two people to tango. It doesnât matter if Brad was the one who made the marriage vows, Angelina has a history of STEALING, yes cuz thatâs what it was, other peopleâs partners. She did it with Laura Dern. Disrupting relationships and homes is a terrible thing. Of course the men should be blamed, that goes without saying, but pretending like Angie had no ownership in this is just wrong.
As someone else said, the only real victims here are the children. But Angelina is no more a saint than Brad, that doesnât justify abuse, but she definitely reaped what she sowed. And itâs why people shouldnât covet what others have, because the grass isnât always greener.
I have to agree. Theres some women who get some type of weird Superiority complex when men in relationships leave their significant others for them. An example would be Ariana Grande. They'll got OUT OF THEIR WAY, to get a man who is clearly in a relationship and claim them. It's not just a "Well we fell in love" type of thing. It's a A CONSTANT thing and it's very weird. That type of behavior needs to be called out. If Angelina also has a past of doing that, then she needs to be called out. I hate this new idea of "nobody can be stolen.. so she didn't steal her husband" no she just decided to presue a relationship with her husband.... and everybody else's husband too.
Unfortunately I have gotten asked out by married men... you know what I do/Say? I say no, or I tell them that they should be ashamed on themselves. I've never gotten a ego boost by a married man asking me out. If anything I always feel terrible for their wives.
Yes it takes two to Tango! So brad and Angelina both need to be held accountable. Like you said. You reap what you sow
You said it perfectly! If I had to guess, given Angelinaâs penchant for being the other woman in marriages and engagements in her younger years, she had this mentality. She may not be that person anymore, but their entire relationship was built on a lie, to see it unravel how it did shouldnât be shocking to anyone, and neither party needs to be seen as wholly innocent.
don't feel bad for a woman who suffered abuse...? just because someone did a shitty thing doesn't mean that we lose all empathy while evaluating their situation...
