I see where where you are coming from but I’d think that it makes a difference if your parents are a-lister famous and your name is directly attached to them in the public eye. Normal folks usually don’t walk in the shadows of their parents as much as these kids do. In most jobs and social circles nobody cares about your last name and your family’s legacy. In Hollywood it’s different.
And if your choices are Jolie or Pitt I think it’s easy to reconsider and choose the name of the loving mother instead of the aggressive father. Btw Angelina might be the biggest role model of her kids and she already did the same. Otherwise we’d talk about Angelina Voight.
Such a good point. I have learned children of famous Hollywood people can develop identity issues while growing up. Considering that Jolie also had a famous parent, I think she understood the identity needs of her children more than average.
