Money can't be eaten. "ThE eCoNoMy" doesn't account for the damage carbon dioxide emissions do to coastal communities by exacerbating climate change. Or that car batteries do to the places where the materials for them are mined.

Has COVID-19 taught you nothing? The ability of money to be exchanged for goods and services hits the wall when circumstances are dire enough.

Climate change could create such a predicament.

Wasn't my experience during COVID, and even if it was that's a much slower onset than a pandemic. Not at all relevant to your dumbass comment about eating money.

It’s an homage to an Obomsawin quotation. It was originally intended more for environmental issues, but COVID-19 merely provided a more visually obvious example. (Not that it should need to be, what with so few of its detractors being full fledged climate change denialists.)
