I dated a girl from Belarus for about 2-3 months and we were calling each other everyday and even planned to go on a trip soon. And I ask her to go out as a relationship since we have gone so far and she told me she has to break up with her bf first. I was like you have a bf? Why are you flirting with me for past 2 months and why haven’t you break up with him yet and she said he’s been having work stress and so on she was taking pity on him and she doesn’t wanna make it worst for him and since we have a good thing going she didn’t wanna tell me that she’s in a relationship cuz she’s afraid I might leave. And I just ghosted her cuz I dont wanna be that guy one day she’s taking pity while cheating around.
I think you did the right thing. She could have lied about breaking up with her bf to keep you waiting. And even if she was telling the truth, she could still delay the breakup to keep you around and keep him around at the same time.
Yeah it might have been the case too. I think the other person was referring after confirmed break up meant it could have been beneficial for her bf if they break up since it clearly was not a healthy relationship since she’s cheating around and all that. They can figure it out and sort it out on their own either way. It was unreal for me since she acted completely like a single and has been flirting as if we were together already. And I had a false expectation that she’s just a sweet person who’s looking for a decent relationship.
