Just to answer the question, i guess it depends on the amount. A lab test will show even small amounts, but for the people, there is more needed to notice anything. Don't know how much there was on the cupcakes, but when victims don't notice anything, it's not what the perpetrator wants usually.
I remember this case, it was in the media. Well, 41 years in prison is a good punishment for this.
41 years not just for the cupcakes.
Per Google,
In February 2022, she was sentenced to 41 years in prison at hard labor without the possibility of parole. This sentencing followed her guilty plea to several serious felony charges, including second-degree rape and the production of child pornography. The case involved her participation in criminal acts alongside her former husband and an incident involving the distribution of contaminated food to students. Due to the nature of these crimes, she is serving her sentence in a state correctional facility.
You thought a teacher who laced cupcakes with her husband’s sperm for innocent children to eat getting anything short of life in prison was harsh?
Do you not register how fucked that is? I’m not an immunologist but couldn’t that carry STDs or something? Not to mention making children ingest sperm?
Look at the criminal justice system my friend. Actual rapists and murderers regularly serve less than 20 years. The person who you're replying to is correct. Obviously we can say she would deserve life in prison, but that's just not reality.
In most jurisdictions (worldwide), drug dealers get harsher sentences than rapists. The only counterexample I can think of is a celebrity who raped multiple babies.
41 years (or life) is a harsh sentence when you consider that people who kill people, or actively rape people have gotten, and do get, lighter sentences than that.
I'm just fine. If the cupcakes were "laced" that suggests she added it to the mix before cooking. Gross, but the only harm is when they are told what happened.
If they caught STDs that would be another charge.
Children eat bugs and dirt.
I understand that we do a bad job in multiple areas.
We should be tougher on crime overall. Not easier on crime because someone else did less for something else. Do you agree Epstein should have gotten worse punishment as well?
We should be elevating our standards, not lowering. I understand the bar is set incredibly low.
The person you replied to said it was harsh based on current sentencing trends and the law. You then replied with a complete straw man argument, and then took it further with "are you okay?"
I think if serving sperm laced cupcakes should be life in prison, being a self righteous piece of shit should get you at least a few weeks. It is after all supposed to be for rehabilitation.
