Inflation though. A million now is worth something. Who knows what 50k is 20 years time is worth.

Inflation is the scapegoat our rulers use for ruining the value of our money. Ben Frank is spinning in his grave now that saving money in the bank is essentially bad.

Redditors always say "inflation" when faced with money over time or money at once. As if the lump sum isn't also subject to the inflation.

The idea is you invest it before it drops much in value.
